The Essex Safeguarding Children Board understands the importance of listening to you.
Educating children and providing support and information to parents are considered the most important ways of preventing child sexual exploitation. Understanding healthy relationships, knowing how to report things when things don’t feel right, and keeping children safe online, are all crucial in helping to tackle child sexual exploitation. Your views, as parents, will help us develop greater awareness of the importance of child sexual exploitation and staying safe online.
What you tell us will be combined with the views of other parents and will be reported anonymously. This is a confidential questionnaire for you to share your views openly and honestly.
This questionnaire is designed for parents of children of all ages. If your child is in primary age education, you may feel that some of the questions are not relevant to you, so please answer each question as you see fit. You can skip any questions you do not wish to answer.
At the end of the survey there are links to sources of information, advice and guidance for parents.
If you are concerned that a child is at risk of being sexually exploited:
Report child sexual exploitation to the police by dialling 101. If they are in immediate danger, dial 999.
If you are concerned about a child in Essex call Social Care (Family Operations Hub) on 0345 603 7627 (out of hours 0345 606 1212).
